FIXTURES FINALISED FOR WORLD SCHOOLS FESTIVAL

The fixtures for the 2019 World Schools Festival have been released, with a host of mouth-watering matches expected to set the tournament alight at Paul Roos Gymnasium in Stellenbosch. The event will see ten South African teams take on ten sides from the rest of the world in a Ryder Cup-style competition, with the home schools determined to defend the crown they captured in the inaugural festival in 2018.

STRONG SOUTH AFRICAN LINE-UP FOR WORLD SCHOOLS FESTIVAL

Ten powerful South African rugby teams will compete at the 2019 World Schools Festival, with the historic Paul Roos Gymnasium set to play host. The festival, which made its highly successful debut in Paarl this year, stays in the beautiful Winelands region of South Africa, but moves a mere 30 kilometres down the road to Stellenbosch and will take place from the 25th to 30th March 2019.

NEW ZEALAND TEAMS DOMINATE REST OF THE WORLD CONTINGENT

Nine of the ten teams participating at the 2019 World Schools Festival at Paul Roos Gymnasium have been revealed, with four of the sides hailing from the world’s number-one ranked country in rugby – New Zealand.

Five different nations will be represented in the Rest of the World contingent, while an Africa Pacific Select XV, a Barbarians-style outfit coached by some of the world’s best talent, will make their second appearance at the tournament.
